Outer Banks Kayak Adventures

On the Outer Banks, Kill Devil Hills and Nags Head are popular destinations for exploring all of North Carolina’s natural beauties. Kayaking on the Outer Banks may be the finest way to see it all. True, this barrier island has been developed for holidaymakers, but it has not lost its historic beauty, and its main attractions will never be lost. The seemingly endless ocean-washed Atlantic beaches continue to extend north to south across the horizon. The sound and its natural wonders have remained mostly unaffected. The water and the sound are always available for exploration. Why not go for a walk or take a kayak tour of them?

The Nags Head Woods Ecological Preserve is open to the public for free.

Nags Head Woods is a natural gem nestled between and sheltered by the sand dunes on the sound side. The cost of entry is a short journey and complete respect for this fragile environment (Leave foot prints only here). Bring a water bottle and bug repellant with you. You can take as long as you wish on a hike or jog around the trails. This location is also accessible by sea. Come via water in a kayak, or sail, canoe, or sail.Visit Camping Rentals for more details.

This is a Kayak Paradise.

Playing in the waves is enjoyable, but playing in the waves or gliding on the sound is even more enjoyable in a kayak. If you are up for the task, you can kayak just about anyplace on the ocean side. Run up into the waves and parallel the beach in search of a dolphin school, or ride a breaker back to shore, edging left or right to keep your nose out of the water. Then repeat (you’ll never grow bored of it).

There are salt marshes, islets, and primitive woodland areas on the sound that are plenty of sights to see. Kayaking is possible almost anyplace along the Sound. It’s a terrific way to get some exercise and get away from it all. Kayaking here is a once-in-a-lifetime adventure.

If carrying your own kayak isn’t practical, you may hire one almost anywhere in the area. Kayak rentals in the Outer Banks are affordable, and you can have them brought to your beach house rental or wherever you plan to go on the water.

Embark on a Kayak Tour

Kayak tours are enjoyable, and the tour outfit will provide you with everything you require. If you’ve never kayaked before, they’ll show you how. They’ll even supply a guide who knows all the best spots and will drive you there and back. Have you ever tried kayaking? It’s the Outer Banks, so try something new and see what you can. It has the potential to become your next big vacation obsession.
